The Gratnell's, Ltd. Carts and Storage System offers a new concept in storage.  The System utilizes a range of drawers, baskets and shelves which are fully interchangeable between under bench casework, cupboards, storage racks and carts.  Each fitting is instantly adjustable with drawer slides or shelf clips allowing almost unlimited configurations for even the bulkiest containers.   You can design a hospital, university or laboratory with fully integrated storage systems to give maximum flexibility or purchase individual carts for use at home or in your workshop.

Unique Design

The square tube design guarantees a sturdy frame and back diagonal bars are fitted to the tall frames for extra strength. It also makes a comfortable grip when moving storage frames on castors

The frames are sturdily constructed of one inch 18 gauge square steel tube. They are degreased and phosphated to increase adhesion and rust prevention in tropical climates (before white epoxy coating) with the latest Tribostatic automatic spray guns. Assembly is easy ... the ends of the frames are supplied welded so only the cross and center tubes require being bolted into welded steel plugs on site.

Visual control is facilitated by drawers made of 1/8 inch "glass clear" high impact polystyrene. The baskets are 1 3/8 inch mesh of coppered steel wire, NYLON coated, and can be autoclaved.  Shelves are made of 20mm gauge steel and epoxy coated. The steel slides are specially NYLON coated for hard wear.

Technical Information

The Gratnell Storage System consists of storage racks and carts based on one inch square tube slotted at 1 inch intervals to hold adjustable drawer runners or shelf clips.

The frames are white epoxy coated 18 gauge steel tube for hard wear. They are designed to hold:

Tops ... the tops to the carts are either in hard wearing white epoxy coating or polished stainless steel.

Drawers ... in "glass clear" high impact polystyrene for complete visual control. They slide in steel runners, NYLON coated for heavy institutional wear. Dividers are available using a simple self adhesive strip of slots placed inside the front and back of the trays and the clear plastic dividers placed wherever required.

Baskets ... in white NYLON coated coppered steel wire in 5 inch and 8 1/2 inch depths for large light bulky items or where air circulation is required.

Shelves ... single and double width in Epoxy coated steel are supplied with adjustable shelf clips.
There are three types:

1. Plain solid shelves for general use.
2. Slatted shelves where air circulation is required.
3. Perforated shelves which allow bottles to be stored on them while allowing air circulation.

 

All fittings are adjustable according to the height of the contents and are interchangeable between units.
